Jewel International Knitwears
Jewel International Knitwears was established in 1991 by its Proprietor, Harmeet Singh Bhalla, with a modest loan of ₹35,000 under the Prime Minister Rozgar Yojana (PMRY). Beginning with a turnover of ₹1 lakh in its first year, the firm has grown steadily over more than three decades into a multi-crore enterprise, currently achieving an export turnover of ₹3.40 crores. This journey reflects sustained commitment, quality focus, and consistent growth in the knitwear and garment export sector.
The company specializes in the manufacture and export of high-quality hosiery goods including men’s pullovers, ladies’ cardigans, kids’ pullovers, school sweaters, shawls, stoles, caps, gloves, mufflers, women’s ponchos, and capes. In addition, it produces readymade garments such as T-shirts, lounge wear, track pants, shorts, and sweatshirts, catering to diverse market requirements with an emphasis on quality and timely delivery.
Jewel International Knitwears exports its products to Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Doha–Qatar, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates, maintaining strong and long-standing relationships in these international markets.
The firm has been a proud member of Wool & Woollens Export Promotion Council (WWEPC) since 1995. It has received multiple Certificates of Merit for Export Performance for the years 1997–98, 1998–99, 2000–01, 2001–02, 2002–03, and 2003–04, along with the Export Award for 3rd Highest Export Performance for the years 2002–03 and 2003–04, recognizing its excellence and contribution to India’s export sector.
As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, the firm has sponsored the Khushwant Singh Literary Festival in Kasauli. The festival supports girl child empowerment, ecological conservation, and honors the Indian Armed Forces — values that align closely with the company’s philosophy of responsible and inclusive growth.
